Sage and Scientist in Us: Duality to Non-duality

October 17th — Nothing to Let Go: Resting in the Wholeness That Is Already Here

October 24th — Beyond the Illusion of Separation: Finding Stillness Amid Life’s Changing Experiences

Why This sāngha (gathering)? The Aṣṭāvakra Gītā stands out for its radical simplicity. It doesn’t offer a gradual path, it declares the truth immediately: You are free already. For modern seekers, it resonates with both spiritual wisdom and psychological insight, pointing to freedom beyond conditioned thought patterns.

As the text beautifully reminds us:“You are not the body, nor the mind. You are the witness, pure consciousness itself. Rest in that, and be free.”

Core Themes we will explore from true scientific and spiritual lenses:

  • Radical Non-Duality: The Self is pure awareness, already free, untouched by body or mind.

  • Illusion of the World: Suffering and striving dissolve once the Self is realized.

  • Direct Path to Freedom: No rituals, no lengthy effort but that freedom is here, now.

  • True Renunciation: Letting go of ego and identification with the mind.

  • Silence and Stillness: Abiding as vast, unchanging awareness.
